Hang Loose at Anderswo Camp
Want to get away from it all, recharge your batteries, take a deep breath, forest bathe or experience something with your kids?
We, Julia and Steffen, look forward to welcoming you to Anderswo Camp. It is a beautifully situated piece of land at the eastern end of the Bavarian Forest National Park in the idyllic mountain village of Finsterau. Discover the wild nature of the Bavarian Forest and the adjacent Šumava National Park on foot, by bike or with cross-country skis.
The campsite has existed since the 1970s and is therefore showing its age. We have been modernizing the facility for you since May 2021 according to sustainable principles in order to breathe new charm into it. As Ralph Waldo Emerson put it, „It’s not the destination, it’s the journey.“ The journey is our goal.

Information for all dog owners:
Your loved ones are welcome and free. However, you are responsible for ensuring that the interaction between your fellow campers and your pet works harmoniously.
Information for groups and celebrations:
We are not a party campsite. Dignified campfire evenings in groups are of course wonderful. Here too, we simply ask you to be considerate of one another. You are welcome to send us group inquiries by e-mail to buchung[at]anderswo-camp.de
Information on the dimensions of the parking space:
We are an undivided place. The dimensions on the overview plan give you a guideline on how big the area on the pitch is to set up a tent or park a vehicle. The information is non-binding.
We currently have 50 undivided campsite pitches for motorhomes, caravans, campervans and tents. Only the paths on the two main terraces (Level Meadow Pitches) are paved.
We have different camping options:
Level Meadow Pitches: Enjoy the tranquility of nature on spacious campsite pitches with and without optional electricity connection. We currently have 11 pitches with electricity. These are perfect for any type of camping – whether in a tent, caravan or mobile home. Large trees provide shade during the day. In the evening, you can bring campfire romance directly to your site with borrowed fire pits and rented firewood or simply enjoy the fantastic starry sky.
Into the Wild: You like it close to nature and bring some spirit of adventure with you? Then this is your area. Here you will find smaller and larger niches in the middle of wild nature for tents, cars, off-road vehicles with roof tents as well as buses and vans – please assess for yourself whether your vehicle is suitable. There are no gravel paths, only natural forest and meadow soil. The center is a clearing with a fixed fireplace where you can sit by the fire or have a barbecue with your neighbors in the evening. Individual fires in this Into the Wild area are not possible due to the increased risk of fire here. The terrain is not absolutely level, but it is ideal for camping!
Shepherd’s Wagon: Traveling without your own accommodation? Then make yourself comfortable in the „Schäfchenzähler“ (Count the Sheep) at number 30. There are two single sleeping places in the form of a bunk bed, a spacious seating area, a small cooking facility with basic equipment and sockets for your devices. You will find showers and toilets in our renovated sanitary facilities a few meters away. A highlight is the built-in stove – so it stays cozy, no matter what the weather. You can buy wood from us as needed. Outside, a small, covered terrace with a view of the countryside awaits you. You can bring your own bed linen or book bedding as an option.
